Get to Know Me

I was born in Lima, Perú, and at age seventeen moved to Caracas, Venezuela where I became a psychologist. I started my professional work as a school psychologist but found my passion in the clinical world and became a psychotherapist and a psychoanalyst. I currently live and practice in Miami, Florida. The need to find understanding combined with my passion to unravel the soul and its complexity made me become a Clinical Psychologist and a Psychoanalyst.

I have more than 30 years of experience, and during that time I have seen incredible changes and emotional growth in people who embark in the adventure called Psychoanalysis (and Psychoanalytical therapy). It is a voyage to their inner selves with the intention of getting to know and understand themselves. 

I have dedicated part of my time to develop and put in action prevention programs in drug prevention, healthy living, domestic abuse, and parenting. Teaching has always been a passion for me. I have been a professor in the Institute of Psychoanalysis which is in charge of the training of clinicians who want to become Psychoanalysts (4 year program) and Psychotherapists (2 year program) in  Asociación Venezolana de Psicoanálisis  (ASOVEP), and in the bachelor and masters program at universities in Venezuela.
